I am authorised to solemnise legal marriages recognised by the Registrar General for Scotland through the Circle of Contemplation, a belief body that welcomes all beliefs and is rooted in simplicity, peace, love, and openness. I design every ceremony around your love story, whether religious, semi-religious, or non-religious, and it is always a privilege to marry couples.
The fees I charge cover my time, travel, and preparation, this is in line with the Marriage (Scotland) Act 1977, which ensures celebrants do not operate for profit.
Ceremony Options
Gift Ceremony
For couples experiencing health or financial challenges, I may offer a gift ceremony to make your day as meaningful as possible.
Simple Ceremony
A respectful, no-fuss ceremony that meets all legal requirements but still feels personal.
Personalised Ceremony
A fully bespoke experience exploring your love story and what marriage means to you. This can include readings, personal promises, poems, symbolic rituals like handfasting, sand ceremonies, or a quaich toast. Family and friends can also be involved if you wish.
Additional travel charges may apply; I’m happy to travel anywhere in Scotland (and sometimes beyond!).
Booking & Payment
- Confirm you’re happy to proceed and secure your date with a booking fee.
- A 14-day cooling-off period applies.
- Remaining balance due 2–4 weeks before your ceremony.

Rehearsals
- Can be arranged closer to the ceremony date.
- Fee: to be agreed.
Legal Requirements
To make your marriage legally recognised, you must submit M10 marriage notice forms at your local Registry Office 12 weeks–29 days before the ceremony. I’m happy to guide you if needed.
Photography & Privacy
- I may share ceremony photos for promotional purposes. If you prefer I don’t, let me know within 14 days of booking.
- Your ceremony script is personal, please do not reproduce or share without permission.
- All personal details are kept confidential under the Data Protection Act 2018.
Insurance & Professional Membership
I am a member of the Scottish Independent Celebrants Association (SICA) and carry insurance up to £1,000,000.
